Luanda – The modernization program will allow the Road Safety Service to improve its system and meet demand, the Angolan Minister of Interior, Manuel Home, said on Friday in Luanda.

According to the official, who was speaking to the press in the scope of the inauguration of the Ministry of the Interior’s headquarters building, which recently benefited from expansion and rehabilitation works, stressed that the aforementioned system is practically operational.

“Now it is a matter of sorting out the accumulated pending cases, but this technological upgrade was necessary because the system that was in operation no longer met the needs of this service”, stressed the minister.

In his opinion, this technical change is fundamental to allowing for less bureaucracy and better service to citizens, in order to meet what is expected.

“Today, citizens can handle matters online through www.dtser.pn.gov.ao, a platform where they do not necessarily have to interact in person with the traffic and road safety departments, and can carry out all preliminary operations online, including payments”, explained the minister.

Manuel Homem lamented the inconvenience caused to citizens, who faced flooding and complaints at the Traffic and Road Safety Department.
