Africa-Press – Angola. The World Bank has said it will finance the construction of an Integrated Employment and Vocational Training Center in eastern Lunda-Norte province.
João Palata, the head of the Lunda-Norte provincial services of the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (Inefop), said the project falls under an institutional protocol between the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS) and the World Bank.
Without disclosing architectural details or the financing amount, Palata said that identifying the location for the “modern standard” infrastructure is underway after a protocol has been signed.
He added that technicians from the World Bank and MAPTSS will arrive in the province in the coming days to evaluate and approve the chosen space.
Currently, Inefop does not have a permanent center in Dundo, the capital city of Lunda-Norte province, delivering courses through mobile centers.
Since 2008, Inefop has trained 15,000 young people in various specialties, it employs 26 trainers in the municipalities of Dundo, Lucapa, and Capenda-Camulemba.
