Africa-Press – Angola. Angola participated in the 12th edition of the WISE Summit held on November 24 and 25 in Doha, Qatar.

According to a press release from the Angolan embassy in Qatar sent on Tuesday, the country was represented by the director of the Office of Personnel of the Presidency of the Republic, Edson Ulisses de Carvalho Alves, who participated in the sessions and meetings dedicated to the future of education on a global scale.

The event, promoted by the Qatar Foundation, is recognized as an essential international platform for the promotion of educational innovation.

Since its creation in 2009, the WISE Summit has become a global community that brings together stakeholders from around 200 countries, from students and researchers to policymakers, with the purpose of sharing ideas, developing solutions and establishing strategic partnerships to address the challenges of the sector.

In this edition, discussions emphasized the transformative role of education and the need to incorporate emerging technologies without losing focus on the human being.

Participants analyzed the rapid transformations of the contemporary world and reflected on how to prepare societies to deal with issues such as poverty, inequality, conflict, unemployment, environmental sustainability, and future challenges.
