Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Minister of the Interior Manuel Homem on Friday defended greater valorization of the staff of the Civil Protection and Fire Services (SPCB), which involves continuous training and improvement of the social conditions of staff.
The government official assured that they are working in depth, in order to adjust the non-conformities, which still exist in the SPCB linked to the promotion and graduation of staff.
He highlighted that they carry out tasks related to the remuneration status of the bodies that make up the Ministry of the Interior.
According to the Minister, a program is underway to acquire technical and operational resources, personal protection material and infrastructure modernization, with emphasis on provincial and municipal barracks.
Regarding the employees who were promoted, Manuel Homem asked them to continue with their commitment to saving lives, as it is a motto that characterizes their activities and guarantees the fundamental rights of citizens.
He asked for greater attention to activities that strengthen the work of the SPCB.
Minister Manuel Homem appointed and promoted Marcelino Cariço André Pintinho, to the position of deputy fire commissioner, and the chief fire superintendents Benvindo Miala Mateus, Irene Raquel Galiano Novais, Faustino Chitembo Minguês, Sandra Marisa de Sousa Alcochete, Wilson Leandro Chitembo Baptista and Félix Luciano Domingos.
They were also promoted and appointed to the positions of fire commissioner, Quintino Graciano, and deputy fire commissioner Zito Magalhães Castro.
The Civil Protection and Fire Service (SPCB) is a corporation whose main mission is to carry out civil defense, fire prevention and fighting, search, rescue and public assistance activities within Angola.
The SPCB is a body supervised by the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), it is part of the Angolan Defense and Security System and its mission is to prevent and combat different calamities, searches, rescues, among others.
