Africa-Press – Angola. The implementation of new work methodologies in the performing arts, in particular in the theater, in recent years in the country, will be the focus of the workshop “Actor Preparation Techniques”, to be presented, Friday (10), at 14:00, by the Angolan playwright Tony Frampênio, at the International Winter Theater Festival (FITI), which ends on Sunday in Maputo.

Tony Frampênio highlighted that he is preparing a dissertation based on the dynamics that have been registered in Angolan theater, from the incorporation of folklore in theater, satirization and dramatology in the production of plays. .

During the workshop, he said, he intends to reflect with actors from Mozambican, South African, Brazilian and Portuguese groups and companies, on the incorporation of animals in the plays, as well as the sound in the production of theater works in Angola.

During his stay, he explained, he will take the opportunity to promote the books “A Raiva”, “A Grande Questão” and “Teatro da Tarimba”, which will be sold in Mozambique during the FITI. field of the performing arts, in particular theatre”.

Born in Cuanza-Sul, Tony Frampênio is a director and researcher, with a degree in Theater from the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISART), and a Master’s in Portuguese Literature at the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação in Luanda.

In theater since 1992, he has performed in the groups Twa Futuca, Makotes and Komba Meneck. He is currently a member of the Enigma group and lecturer in Acting, Theater History and Aesthetics, at the Complexo das Escolas de Artes (CEART) and also at the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISART). In addition, he is also the technical coordinator of the International Theater Circuit (CIT).

With the Enigma Teatro group, he received, in 2012, the National Prize for Culture and Arts. There are 23 works adapted for the theater on the market, with emphasis on “A Grande Questão”, “A Raiva” and “Há Mar… Há Terra”.
