Africa-Press – Angola. The National Assembly will proceed, on Monday, 15th, to the final global vote on the draft law that approves the General State Budget for the 2026 economic year, according to a press release from the institution sent Sunday.
The note states that the Joint Opinion Report of the country’s main management instrument was approved last Thursday, 11th.
In addition to findings, the legislative document presents more than 50 recommendations, focusing on improving public spending, transparency in resource allocation, diversification of the economy and control of public debt.
For 2026, the General State Budget estimates revenues and sets expenses with an decrease of 4.7% compared to the 2025 budget.
Another plenary
Also on Monday, a second plenary session will be held, which will consider, among other points, three requests for legislative authorization submitted by the President of the Republic, in his capacity as Holder of the Executive Branch.
The requests concern the legal regime of industrial development centers, the legal regime of rural industrial parks and the amendment of annexes A and B of the Block 14 concession area.
The Plenary also considers, in general, two bills of environmental relevance: the one that creates the Serra do Pingano conservation area and the one that establishes the Morro do Moco national conservation area.
Still within the framework of parliamentary activity, the National Assembly will hold, on Wednesday, the 17th, the end-of-year greetings ceremony, an act that marks the end of the 2025 institutional calendar.
