Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan senior women’s national handball team (the “Pearls”) returned to the country on Sunday after competing in the 27th World Championship, having occupied 10th place in a tournament that is still taking place in Germany and the Netherlands.
The Angolan team improved five positions compared to the previous edition (15th).
Angola played six games, winning four and losing two.
The final takes place between the teams from Norway and Germany, in the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands.
This was Angola’s third best ranking in an event of this kind, after 7th (2007 – France) and 8th (2011 – Brazil).
