The minister made the statements during his participation in the Africa-United Arab Emirates Economic Forum, which is taking place in Dubai, where he presented the country’s economic potential and reinforced the invitation to foreign entrepreneurs and investors to invest in Angola.

In his speech, Téte António stressed that the ongoing reforms aim to create a more favorable environment for investment, focusing on macroeconomic stability, legal security and strengthening public-private partnerships.

The minister highlighted that, among the strategic sectors with high investment potential, agriculture, energy, mineral resources, manufacturing, logistics, transport, tourism and infrastructure are considered fundamental for the sustainable growth of the national economy.

In his speech, he gave special importance to the Lobito Corridor, classified as a structuring project for regional integration, which connects the Port of Lobito to the interior of Angola and to the markets of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.

According to the minister, the Lobito Corridor represents a strategic opportunity for investors in the fields of rail and port transport, logistics, agro-industry, mining and associated value chains, with a direct impact on the economic development of Angola and the region.

He invited businesspeople from the United Arab Emirates and other countries participating in the forum to explore the opportunities available in Angola, guaranteeing the support and monitoring of national institutions for investment projects.

The Forum of Operators to Secure Economic Emergency in Africa (FOGECA) is a pan-African platform dedicated to promoting economic development and regional integration, focusing on encouraging investment, South-South partnerships, and alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
