Africa-Press – Angola. The construction of urban roads is the main challenge for the Zaire province government in 2026, Governor Adriano Mendes de Carvalho announced in Mbanza Kongo.
Adriano Mendes de Carvalho who was speaking at the traditional end-of-year greetings ceremony, said the rehabilitation of the Mbanza Kongo/Cuimba/Buela road, a distance of approximately 80 km, is a priority for the next fiscal year.
He also cited the construction, in 2026, of eight schools and systems for the collection, treatment and distribution of drinking water in the municipalities of Luvo and Cuimba.
The actions planned for next year also include the construction of a secondary agricultural institute in the municipality of Tomboco, as well as two polytechnic institutes in the districts of Soyo and Cuimba.
Adriano Mendes de Carvalho highlighted the approval in the Official Gazette of the presidential decrees authorizing the construction of the aforementioned infrastructure.
