Africa-Press – Angola. The Angola Gira Livro publishing house launched, on Friday (19) in Luanda, the literary work “Avança, Mulher” (Go Forward Woman, lit. in English), a short stories of strength and female inspiration.
With 462 pages, the work brings together texts from 114 authors from 10 countries, including short stories, poetry and chronicles that show the plural, dynamic and vital role of women in society.
According to Carmen dos Santos, the book’s author, the work is a tribute to the role of women in society and highlights their ability to overcome social, economic and cultural adversities.
The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources also said that the work portrays the struggle and overcoming that inspire other women, through real and symbolic narratives that show women who have overcome obstacles and conquered their space.
She stressed that with this, she intends to reveal the power of African women, reinforcing the idea that they should believe in their potential.
“Avança Mulher represents the hope of transformation, through perseverance and action,” she explained.
On the occasion, the project organizer, Egna de Sousa, stated that the work emerged to inspire women from various social strata, focusing on their projects, sharing faith, purpose, and determination in building their personalities.
Supporting this idea, Fátima Moniz, also an organizer, explained that it arose to create an inclusive and collaborative space where experienced and novice women could express their experiences and share their emotions.
According to the responsible, it all started with the profound impact of each real story that reflects the faith and persistence of women.
For us, Avança Mulher is a project with powerful messages about the strength of women in the aforementioned poem, being the starting point for the creation of a literary movement that inspires women in all areas of life.
The work included the participation of the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, with a message that expresses the strengths of women who have access to resources and training, which allows them to transform their own lives and the community.
During the presentation ceremony, the event organizers recited each passage of the poem and provided a moment of reflection for each woman present at the event.
The event was attended by members of the Executive and civil society.
