Africa-Press – Angola. Angola was selected on Wednesday in Madrid, Spain, to be part of the list of 26 good destinations to be visited in 2026, having received the certificate recognizing its tourist and cultural potential.
The Certificate was awarded by Wonderlust, one of the largest travel and tourism magazines in Europe, which justified the distinction with the fact that Angolan territory possesses unique characteristics in its nature, beauty, culture, among other aspects.
The document mentioned above was delivered to the minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, who received it from the commercial director of the magazine, Adam Lloyds, during the 46th edition of the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which began (21) at the Madrid Trade Fair Institution (IFEMA).
Wanderlust, is the United Kingdom based travel publication exploring less-traveled paths since 1993.
Paul Morrison and Lyn Hughes conceived the project during a flight to Ecuador, aiming to create a publication that combined the ideal mix of wildlife, activities, and cultural knowledge.
The company, which is under new management since 2020, has expanded rapidly, adding new themes to its editorial focus such as history, archaeology and urban destinations, while continuing to strengthen its commitment to responsible, conscious, and sustainable tourism.
Currently, it is available in the United States of America (USA), Canada, and over 70 countries worldwide. With a strong and rapidly growing digital presence, the wanderlustmagazine.com website offers thousands of articles and attracts over 12 million visitors annually, in addition to over 180,000 social media followers. The “Wanderlust Club” also maintains a community of engaged travelers 24/7.
Wanderlust’s combination of exclusive reporting, practical assessments, unique insights, tips, and ideas has already earned it awards from respected industry organizations worldwide. It is now the UK’s most widely read travel magazine, with the highest average circulation in both print and digital formats, and continues to be a pioneer in covering contemporary, responsible and sustainable travel.
During five days, Angola will present, through tour operators in the sector, its tourism potential to Spanish tourists and those from other regions of the world, highlighting the Seven Wonders of Angola and the ways to purchase tour packages.
The search for potential investment partnerships in the sector is also among the purposes of Angola’s participation in the event.
FITUR, the world’s most influential international tourism fair, takes place at IFEMA Madrid from January 21 to 25, consolidating its position as the leading event for inbound and outbound tourism markets.
