Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, highlighted, on Sunday, the first final of the Angola Cup, played outside Luanda, and ensured continuity in the work aimed at restoring the country’s sports infrastructure.
The official valued the work of restoring the grass and other equipment carried out at the Tundavala Stadium, located in the Canguinda neighbourhood, on the outskirts of the city of Lubango, adding that other actions will continue.
Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto also praised the support that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has received from the Provincial Government of Huíla, in the recovery of various equipment at the Tundavala National Stadium. She also recognized the participation of lovers of the sport in the province.
“Today, we are satisfied with the recovery of the turf”, he said, adding that other actions will be gradually recovered. He stated that with the conquest Angolan sport grows in general and football in particular, which is the sport of passions.
The official who accompanied the final game, won by Petro de Luanda, expressed her satisfaction with the party carried out, not only by the teams on the field, but also by the human frame present in the Stadium.
The Minister of State and Head of the Security House and the Minister of State and Chief of the Civil House, both of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado and Adão de Almeida, witnessed the game. Also at the stadium were the governors of the provinces of Huíla and Benguela, Nuno Mahapi Dala and Luís Nunes, respectively, among other invited entities.
