Africa-Press – Angola. The Cuanza-Norte government is investing 2.1 billion kwanzas to complete the construction of the Ndalatando market, located in the city centre. The market will have capacity for 30 shops and various services, spread over two floors.

The project, which resumed after over 10 years of inactivity, is expected to be completed in six months and will create over 100 jobs.

The 1,972-square-metre construction project will feature modular shops, butchers, fishmongers, kiosks, food courts, offices, toilets, storage areas, a courtyard and a service area.

The local governor João Diogo Gaspar highlighted that the resumption of the project coincides with the 24th anniversary of Peace and National Reconciliation, thereby reinforcing the government’s commitment to local development and the economy.

He asked citizens to refrain from vandalizing public property and to report criminal activity, emphasizing the importance of civic responsibility.
