Africa-Press – Angola. The Presiding Judge of the Supreme Court and the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSMJ), Norberto Sodré João, conducted a working visit to the Luanda District Court on Monday, with the aim of assessing the operating conditions of the different courtrooms and services.

The visit began in the civil courtroom, located in Maianga, and then moved on to the customs and maritime litigation áreas located in the Port of Luanda.

The tour also included the commercial courtroom, located on Rua Rainha Ginga, and concluded at the Dona Ana Joaquina Palace in the capital city center.

During the visit, the official observed firsthand the working conditions in the infrastructure that comprises the Luanda District Court, as part of the actions to monitor and improve the functioning of the judicial bodies.

At the end of the meeting with judicial officials and magistrates, the president of the Luanda District Court, Paulino Gaspar Cândido, stated that Norberto Sodré João, was presented with a realistic overview of the institution’s situation, including the main challenges faced in carrying out judicial activities.
