Africa-Press – Angola. The Associated Press reported, citing sources, that the United States will reduce the number of its embassies in Africa that handle visa applications to more than half.
In the coming weeks, the United States will decrease the number of embassies and consulates processing visa applications from 50 to 20, according to a report based on three American officials and an internal memo.
It is noted that former President Donald Trump made strict immigration and border policies a central focus of his political agenda over the past decade. Trump described some immigrants from Africa and Haiti as coming from “shithole countries” during his first term in office.
