Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, called on Saturday in Luanda for the implementation of the agreements signed between Angolan and North American universities, so that they produce tangible results in academic exchange.
Speaking at the closing of the 14th International Conference on Education, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, held at the Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy, he said he hoped that the agreements would facilitate student mobility and joint research.
The minister stated that the true success of the partnerships will depend on their effective implementation.
According to the minister, the agreements should translate into scientific publications, applied innovation and development projects, for the benefit of institutions and societies.
Téte António considered the partnership with the International Multidisciplinary Center for Academic Research and Development (CIMPAD) opportune, as it coincides with the Executive’s efforts to strengthen the qualification of human capital and expand knowledge networks.
He also highlighted the importance of coordination between academia, diplomacy, the public and private sectors, and international partners to strengthen higher education and international cooperation.
The conference brought together government officials, businesspeople, teachers, researchers, and students from Angola, Southern Africa, and the United States of America.
