Africa-Press – Angola. Members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies (OPEC+) confirmed the decision to adjust monthly global production by 648,000 barrels per day (bpd) in August, against 432,000 bpd in June.

Meeting at their 30th Ministerial Meeting, held in virtual format, on Thursday, members maintained the production adjustment plan and monthly mechanism approved at the 19th and 29th OPEC and OPEC+ Ministerial Meetings.

The Group reiterates the critical importance of adhering to full compliance and the compensation mechanism, which must be presented in accordance with the declaration of the 15th Ministerial Meeting of OPEC and allies.

Angola’s production quota in OPEC increased from 1,450 to 1,502 million bpd this July, after the agreement at the 29th Meeting of Ministers of the alliance.
