Africa-Press – Angola. The minister of telecommunications, information technology and Media, Mario Oliveira, on Tuesday in Luanda, called for the reinforcement of citizenship, patriotism and love for the homeland as main forces for the progress and sustainable development of Angola in the coming years.
Speaking at the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence, the minister said the data represents the beginning of a new stage for Angola, which in his view requires collective efforts and responsibility to consolidate the achievements and face future challenges.
The minister said that for now Angola starts a new phase marked by goals related to the modernization, economic growth and boost of the institutions.
For the minister, the challenges of the next decades will have a global view and will include sectors such as telecommunications, mass media, health, education and public works, taking into account the need for an integrated and innovative understanding.
Mario Oliveira reaffirmed the commitment to continue staff training with the permanent technological adaptation considering that the sector of new technologies is crucial for the economic and social development of the country.
He also stressed the importance of innovation and digitalization as productivity engines as well as for national competitiveness.
