Africa-Press – Angola. The second commander-general of the National Police, Domingos Andrade, on Friday in the city of Saurimo (Lunda-Sul), asked the officers of the force for greater responsibility and cohesion to guarantee public order and security.
According to the commander, there is a need for greater coordination of efforts between all forces of the Ministry of the Interior, and others, in the fight against crime.
The challenge was launched during the presentation, to members of the government and officers of the force, of the new delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police (PN), sub-commissioner Fernando João.
The second-in-command for Public Order, Sub-Commissioner Mateus Sussuata, was also presented at the ceremony.
Domingos Andrade stated that the National Police must continue to perform its role with zeal and dedication to maintain and preserve national peace and stability.
In turn, the new Interior Delegate highlighted the fight against crime as the cornerstone of his work, to guarantee public safety.
In this regard, he considered the help of all the forces within the agency fundamental, with the discipline, responsibility, diligence, and commitment of all members of the advisory council.On the occasion, the outgoing commander, Mateus André, thanked everyone for the support he received in carrying out his mission, wishing the same for his successor.
The new commander, 59 years old, was also introduced to the governor of Lunda-Sul, Gildo Matias, and distinguished members of the government.
