Africa-Press – Angola. The training of athletes, coaches and leaders stand out among the priorities of the president of Progresso Sambizanga, Silvestre Kissari, elected Saturday, for the 2020/24 quadrennium.

This position was expressed by the leader of the sambilas, who won in the election the former president of the Provincial Football Association of Luanda (APFL), Domingos Tomás, by 313 votes, against 254 for the opponent.

In order to achieve this goal, he stated that the economic and financial sustainability he hopes to achieve is necessary, establishing partnerships with national and international institutions.

According to the official, defending the heritage of Progresso Sambizanga, holding those who harmed the club accountable and negotiating the debt with some workers are also among the priorities.

Silvestre Kissari guaranteed that during his term of office he will opt for transparent management, with the support of all members, friends and supporters of the community.

The creation of centers in various parts of the national territory, to take advantage of the potential of athletes in training, is also part of the priorities of its squad.

Progresso do Sambizanga was founded on the 27th of November 1975. It was dropped from division in the edition of the National Championship of the first division (Giraboal2021/22).

President profile:

Silvestre Kissari, was born on May 4, 1964, in the Municipality of Camabatela, Province of Cuanza-Norte. He attended the Catholic Mission School in Camabatela and secondary school in Luanda, having completed high school at the Instituto Normal de Educação, now the Instituto Médio Normal de Eduction (IMNE), also in the country’s capital.

A football lover and a supporter of Progresso Sambizanga since 1976, he was president of women’s football at Clube Terra Nova, founder of Futebol Clube Ambaca (in Velhas Guardas), president of the Desportivo Crisgunza group and president of the Velhas Guardas do Sambizanga.

He was also a member of various boards of Progresso in the age of Paixão Júnior, and a member of the board in the mandates of Fiel Didi, Simão Paulo, António Maurício, Jorge Baptista and Eduardo Veloso.
