Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan executive, through a declaration, commits to sustainably increase equitable funding for Health at the three levels of national health services, with a focus on primary care.<\/b><\/p>\n

The commitment was made public, Thursday, by the Secretary of State for Health, Franco Mufinda, when he was reading the eight National commitments for the Health of Children, Women and the fight against major endemic diseases, during the approach to the theme “Operationalization of the Agreement to Guarantee Universal Primary Health Care\u201d.<\/p>\n

The person in charge who lectured at the first forum on primary care and Immunization\u201d, he highlighted, the first commitment of his portfolio, as being the gradual expansion of the network of services of the first level of care, taking into account geographic, demographic and equity criteria.<\/p>\n

It includes human resources and essential equipment in order to facilitate access and use of preventive and curative services for individuals, families and communities.<\/p>\n

In this context, the ministry reiterates the political will to guarantee the budgetary and regular and timely financing of the essential package of vaccines, medicines, medical and laboratory supplies for purchases grouped by transparent and rapid mechanisms, as well as the reinforcement of the logistics chain of distribution and control of its use.<\/p>\n

Ensure the monthly allocation at municipal level of operational funds deconcentrated in the budgetary line of primary health care, taking into account the criteria of population density, dispersion and isolation, installed capacity in infrastructure and means, as well as resource management , is another of the commitments assumed by the ministry.<\/p>\n

The declaration also commits to strengthening efforts to achieve the goal of 85 percent of integrated coverage of the essential package of primary care of maternal and child health services and combating major endemic diseases by 2027, namely vaccination, adolescent care, pregnant woman, newborn, childbirth, monitoring of child and adolescent growth and development throughout life cycles, was also mentioned by the same.<\/p>\n

The renewal of the commitment to reduce by 20 percent by 2027, the rate of chronic malnutrition and under-five mortality, mortality from malaria, tuberculosis and HIV\/AIDS, as well as by 10 percent maternal and infant mortality, among other agreements, were included in the dissertation.<\/p>\n
