Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The life and work of the Founder of the Angolan Nation, Dr. Ant\u00f3nio Agostinho Neto, was presented during a political-cultural event marked with the sharing of visions and experiences about African and Argentine cultures, an initiative of the authorities of the municipality of Jun\u00edn, province of Mendonza, with the premises of Casa of the Bicentennial of that city.<\/b><\/p>\n

The figure of Agostinho Neto, filled with peculiar symbolism and transversal performance, namely in politics, culture and poetry, but also as a student, always attracts attention when appreciating the trajectory of the Founder of the Nation and first President of the Republic of Angola. . Thus, the Angolan representation in Argentina took the opportunity to elucidate those present on the multiple visions that one has of the facets of Neto, with the aid of an emblematic photographic exhibition.<\/p>\n

The Angolan representation expressed, through a press release yesterday, that the initiative served to strengthen the exchange and socio-cultural development and learning for the community of the province of Mendonza.<\/p>\n

Angola’s participation was considered special, in recognition of its children’s legacy in the struggle for Argentina’s identity. “Many were Africans, and Angolans in particular, who after the abolition of slavery gave their lives for the independence of Argentina and other American countries”, highlights the note from the Angolan Embassy.<\/p>\n

The city of Jen\u00edn, province of Mendoza, western Argentina, was the city that most welcomed blacks at the time. The two representatives were presented with portraits of the hero Jos\u00e9 Francisco de San Mart\u00edn y Matorras (Yapey\u00fa, February 25, 1778 – Boulogne-sur-Mer, August 17, 1850), an Argentine general and the first leader of the southern part of South America. The Conference, taking place in a hybrid format, will include the participation of engineer George Lopes, founder of NOSI in Cape Verde, Ana Bela Pedroso, former Secretary of State for Portugal, representatives of the digital group Nation (Estonia), Poland and others. specialists and institutions, with which the Institute has tried to promote a closer relationship with a focus on electronic governance.<\/p>\n

At the national level, the participation of the Minister of Commerce and Industry, as speaker of one of the panels, of Professor Pedro Teta, representatives of Angola Cables, ENAPP and other private sectors such as Deloitte are confirmed. With this, he said, the organization intends to bring several views on the modernization and digitalization process.<\/p>\n
