Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first photovoltaic energy production parks in the central, southern and eastern regions of the country will be inaugurated in July this year, announced this Monday, the Head of State, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o.<\/b><\/p>\n

The President of the Republic made this pronouncement in his speech at the United Nations Ocean Conference which takes place in the Portuguese capital from today until next Friday, under the general theme “to expand ocean action based on science and innovation, for the implementation of Objective 14: inventory, partnerships and solutions\u201d.<\/p>\n

The photovoltaic power plant projects are part of a program to build seven solar plants in six provinces of the country, which together total one million solar panels, capable of generating clean and sustainable energy of 370 MW ( MWp).<\/p>\n

The goal is to ensure regular supply to more than two million people residing in these areas, mainly in rural areas, being the largest integrated intervention program in public renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n
