Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angola Stand at the United Nations Conference on the Oceans was officially opened to the public this Monday, in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of State for Social Affairs, Carolina Cerqueira.<\/b><\/p>\n

Throughout the event, according to the Minister of State, visitors will be able to keep in touch with the country’s strategy on the sea and the Executive’s actions for a sustainable exploration of the sea, oceans and inland waters, in the economic, social and cultural dimension.<\/p>\n

“The Angola Stand was conceived in a multimodal perspective, for moments of oral presentations, debates and exhibition of the Angolan oceanographic portfolio”, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

The Minister of State for the Social Area said that the actions will be presented through information panels, digital and non-digital. “In this Stand there will be information in the fields of sustainability, blue economy, circular economy, management, conservation and restoration of marine and coastal ecosystems and also of island countries”, she stressed.<\/p>\n

Carolina Cerqueira recalled that the States have the responsibility to promote initiatives that guarantee the maintenance of ecological, environmental and natural resources balance. Hence the need to give priority to the environmental agenda and its strong connection with the maritime strategy.<\/p>\n
