Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Agrarian Development Institute (IDA) plans to implement, over the next five years, another 10,000 field schools to consolidate the progress made by rural families in the field of knowledge of production techniques.<\/b><\/p>\n

The figures were released this Tuesday, in Luanda, by the IDA engineer, Paulo Sozinho, at a seminar dedicated to field schools, where he indicated that, to date, the Institute controls about six thousand, resulting from the MOSAP programs. 1, 2 and 3.<\/p>\n

Paulo Sozinho stressed that, of the 10,000 schools, five thousand will be implemented through the Integrated Agricultural Acceleration Plan (SEREP) and the other five thousand thanks to the Family and Commercial Agriculture Development Project (MOSAP 3).<\/p>\n

The IDA controls about 6,000 field schools, he said, adding that there are other initiatives linked to provincial governments (Lunda-Norte and Moxico), Non-Governmental Organizations and churches.<\/p>\n

“The challenges are enormous and, in this case, we are on a good path, considering that, in comparison with other regions of Africa, Angola is in the best position in the agricultural development sector”, he considered.<\/p>\n
