Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The ambassador of Venezuela highlighted Tuesday, in Luanda, during the celebration of the 211 years of Independence of his country, the ties of friendship and cooperation with Angola, having affirmed that the Government of Caracas is committed to deepening bilateral relations.<\/b><\/p>\n

Marlon Pe\u00f1a Labrador stressed that the relationship between the two countries is based on friendship, solidarity and mutual respect. “Venezuela and Angola carry 35 years of history, which must be built to emphasize South-South cooperation”, stressed the diplomat.<\/p>\n

According to Ambassador Labrador, even in times of a pandemic, diplomacy staff from both countries were trained in various areas, with emphasis on Politics, Protocol, Culture and Linguistics.<\/p>\n

In relation to other African countries, the Venezuelan ambassador said that cooperation relations have grown significantly and Venezuela is committed to strengthening diplomatic ties with the continent’s 55 states.<\/p>\n

So far, stressed Marlon Pe\u00f1a Labrador, Venezuela has 18 diplomatic missions in Africa, despite the economic and financial difficulties that the country is experiencing because of the disagreement with the West.<\/p>\n

Regarding Independence Day, Marlon Pe\u00f1a Labrador, said that July 5, 1811 is one of the main dates in the country’s history, because it marks the end of the Spanish monarchy.<\/p>\n

He said that one cannot talk about the Independence of Venezuela without touching the precursors Francisco Miranda and the liberator Sim\u00f3n Bl\u00edver, who on July 5th made the hearts of patriots vibrate with a brilliant speech, full of political clarity, passion and hope.<\/p>\n

The 211 years we are celebrating, the ambassador stressed, are intended to maintain the Nation’s most precious asset, which is Independence, deepening relations of respect, friendship, solidarity, cooperation and complementarity with most countries.<\/p>\n
