Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Nineteen South African companies linked to the areas of agro-processing, chemicals, plastics, electronics, capital-intensive equipment, mining, metals, clothing and textiles will participate, starting next Tuesday, 12, in Luanda, in the 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA).<\/b><\/p>\n

Filda is one of the largest and most popular multi-sector fairs in Africa, which last year, during the Covid-19 pandemic, brought together 750 exhibitors from 18 countries, in addition to having visited the fair approximately 20 thousand people.<\/p>\n

For this edition, with the number of 627 confirmed representations, the intention of South African companies is to have the opportunity to explore different areas of business and investment in Angola, with the support of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Competition (DIC).<\/p>\n

According to a note from the South African Embassy, \u200b\u200bquoted by Jornal de Economia & Finan\u00e7as, South African companies will have the opportunity during Filda to present their products and services with the support of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Competition ( DIC), through the Export Marketing and Investment Assistance Scheme.<\/p>\n

Exploration Markets<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the document, the aim of this scheme is to develop exploration markets for the export of South African products and services, as well as to recruit new foreign direct investment to South Africa.<\/p>\n

For the South African deputy minister of Commerce, Industry and Competition, Nomalungelo Gina, mentioned in the document, the participation of companies from her country in Filda will contribute to the increase of trade and investment, as well as the strengthening of economic relations between to South Africa and Angola.<\/p>\n
