Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The representative of the Embassy of Cape Verde, Fernanda Fernandes, highlighted the role of the former President of the Republic in the strengthening and development of ties between both countries on the day of the Tribute of the Diplomatic Corps to Jos\u00e9 Eduardo dos Santos.<\/b><\/p>\n

“We had to be here to pay tribute and solidarity to the Angolan people in this moment of sadness”, said the representative of the Embassy of Cape Verde, Fernanda Fernandes on the sidelines of the visit of the diplomatic corps in Pra\u00e7a da Rep\u00fablica, adjacent to the Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto.<\/p>\n

“We had to be here to pay tribute and solidarity to the Angolan people in this moment of sadness. I am here on behalf of Your Excellency, the Ambassador of Cape Verde, who is absent.<\/p>\n

Fernanda Fernandes expressed solidarity with the Angolan people at this time of grief.<\/p>\n

“It played an important role in strengthening relations between Cape Verde and Angola, in cooperation, friendship, in several ways, so it is with this feeling of solidarity that we are here today as well.”<\/p>\n
