Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The third edition of the Feira Artesanal de Viana (FAV) opens to the public today, from 10:00 am, at Rua dos Firefighters, in the main village, and will be open until next Sunday, as part of the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of the Founder of the Nation, Ant\u00f3nio Agostinho Neto, to be celebrated on the 17th of September.<\/b><\/p>\n

The promotion and enhancement of artistic production in Viana and local creators are the main highlights of the FAV, which will count with the participation of hundreds of exhibitors, according to the program of activities presented by the Municipal Directorate of Tourism and Culture of Viana.<\/p>\n

With free admission, the fair, located in an area of \u200b\u200b2,500 square meters, foresees the participation of 200 exhibitors, the same number as the last edition. The program of activities foresees the opening ceremony for today, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition grounds, by the municipal administrator of Viana, Dem\u00e9trio de Sep\u00falvedra.<\/p>\n

For the night period, from 19:00, the opening of the Film Festival, which runs until Sunday, called “Cine Fest”, which in this edition will honor the director \u00d3scar Gil.<\/p>\n

The organization expects hundreds of spectators to go to the venue, where several national and international films will be screened outdoors.<\/p>\n

Due to the cinematographic proposals on display, to be shown during the festival, the organization hopes that the citizens of the urban districts of Baia, Vilar Flor, Zango, Estalagem, Ki-kuxi and the commune of Calumbo can enjoy the exchange of knowledge with the exhibitors. .<\/p>\n

The following days are dedicated to shows, a fashion show, an exhibition of plastic arts, handicrafts, a food fair, lectures and entertainment for children, with the fair opening scheduled for 10:00 am.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the festival “We Love Kuduro” is scheduled, starting at 7 pm, with the participation of Pai Diesel, Noite e Dia, Jessica Pitbull and Dj Lutonda.<\/p>\n

The following day, starting at 7:00 pm, the fair will pay special attention to the hip hop style, with the participation of the group Elenco de Luxo, Biura, Ali Bab\u00e1, Eva Rap Diva, Seketx\u00e9, Vuino and Sandocan. Dj Elly Chuva and Cheldy Evolunion also participate in the Handicraft Fair.<\/p>\n

Singer Yola Semedo was chosen to perform a mass show, on Saturday, starting at 7:00 pm, on the stage set up at Rua dos Firefighters.<\/p>\n

This year, the intention, according to the municipal director of Tourism and Culture of Viana, Melquim dos Santos, is to make the fair a sustainable program to allow opening up to local artistic creation and promoting self employment, based on the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP).<\/p>\n

For Melquim dos Santos, the visual arts are an important sector that deserves special attention, as well as agricultural production and fashion, essential parts in the expansion and promotion of products from the countryside and the local textile industry.<\/p>\n

The official said that they intend to “bring together the largest number of producers from the most varied artistic disciplines in a single place and discuss the most varied subjects related to the cultural sector”, he explained.<\/p>\n

During the five days of the fair, he added, a lecture on entrepreneurship was scheduled for the morning period, starting at 11:30 am, as part of an initiative by the Municipal Administration of Viana and partners, followed by a fashion show.<\/p>\n

The program includes a day to be dedicated to the Industrial Pole of Viana, the making of handcrafted products, others of agri-food production and traditional spirits. Among the activities scheduled are the exhibition of typical dishes of the region and lectures on cutting and sewing.<\/p>\n

The holding of the Municipal Forum for Artistic Auscultation, on cultural policies, followed by the delivery of participation certificates, is also part of the programme.<\/p>\n

On Saturday and Sunday, the penultimate and last day of the exhibition, gastronomic shows, handing over of equipment to artisans and fashion shows are scheduled for the morning, and musical and theater shows at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
