Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola has hosted, since Wednesday, the Meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission (CCP) between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Republic of Rwanda, within the scope of the current Presidency of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (CIRGL) .<\/b><\/p>\n

The Meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda is attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DRC, Vincent Biruta, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, Christophe Lutundula Apala Pen Apala, respective delegations.<\/p>\n

At the meeting held on Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio, reiterated on behalf of the Head of State, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, in his capacity as President-in-Office of the CIRGL, “his thanks to the President of the DRC, F\u00e9lix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, and of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, for the spirit of leadership and dedication they have shown throughout this Angolan mediation process, within the framework of the mandate given by the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the African Union to Jo\u00e3o Manuel Gon\u00e7alves Louren\u00e7o.<\/p>\n

Minister T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio also took the opportunity to congratulate the prompt implementation of this Permanent Joint Commission, which is a uniquely important mechanism in the context of dealing with all the issues inherent to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the most varied areas, which testifies to the attention particular and determination that the DRC and Rwanda* have agreed on this matter.<\/p>\n

Encouragement<\/b><\/p>\n

The head of Angolan diplomacy encouraged the parties so that they can have a fruitful meeting, focused on the need to create a favorable climate for the strengthening and deepening of bilateral cooperation, in favor of the well-being and prosperity of the populations of the two respective countries, as well as the harmony of the entire region.<\/p>\n

He also reiterated his deep gratitude for the trust placed in the Republic of Angola in this process and reaffirmed his willingness and commitment to continue playing the role of facilitator at the service of a peaceful region and a prosperous Africa.<\/p>\n

The holding of this meeting is part of the implementation of the Roadmap adopted at the aforementioned Tripartite Summit, in which the wisdom and wisdom of the Heads of State guided as one of the main objectives the restoration of objective conditions, aiming at the normalization of relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
