Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first photovoltaic park is part of the Government’s \u201cEnergia Angola 2025\u201d plan, which aims to guarantee access to electricity to 60 percent of the rural population. The project, according to the Minister of Energy, Jo\u00e3o Baptista Borges, will produce 288 MW dc, through 770,400 solar panels installed on site.<\/b><\/p>\n

Among other social and economic valences, in terms of fluent emissions, the project has the capacity to preserve the effects at a level of 723,000 tons of carbon dioxide, in a similar period. The construction of the park was marked by several moments, from the launching of the first stone, in natural terrain, modeling, pre-drilling for driving the piles and draining rainwater. level of schooling from eighth grade to Higher Education worked on the project, benefiting, for this purpose, from training, theoretical and practical, on civil construction techniques and solar panel assembly, while the project was being carried out.<\/p>\n

The Bi\u00f3pio photovoltaic park has mobile plates, based on the sun’s radiation, allowing the daily monitoring of the solar path from East to West, a fact that guarantees rapid energy generation, with greater efficiency.<\/p>\n

In addition to boosting the district’s economic growth, the project will pave the way for more than 3,500 businesses, create new employment opportunities and contribute to a climate-safe future.<\/p>\n

According to a note from the Ministry of Energy and Water, the two parks are part of a set of seven, with a total capacity of 370 MWp distributed across the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bi\u00e9, Lunda-Norte (in Lucapa), Lunda-Norte Sul (in Saurimo) and Moxico (in Luena), which should be operational by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

The document indicates that the seven solar parks were jointly developed by an international consortium composed of the companies MCA and Sun Africa, with the engineering component and the respective construction being carried out by MCA, allowing the supply of renewable and clean electricity at around 2, 4 million people.<\/p>\n
