Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Attorney General of Spain, Dolores Delgado, 59, clarified, through a statement made public, that her resignation from the post, last Tuesday, was due to health problems resulting from a spinal surgery in April this year.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the document, which circulates in several local media, the head of the Spanish Public Ministry makes it known that the surgery currently requires new interventions.<\/p>\n

“Doctors recommended tranquility, avoid tension and warned her that her health is at risk”, clarified the Minister of Justice, who made it known that the magistrate has a broken spine and two herniated discs.<\/p>\n

Pilar Llop Cuenca, who was making a statement on the matter, also stressed that she values \u200b\u200bthe resignation of the attorney general, adding that Dolores Delgado expressed her awareness of the enormous demand that the position of PGR requires, whether in the supervisory role, or in the institutional ones that must be carried out.<\/p>\n

“She understands that public service requires an absolute surrender that she is now unable to assume”, highlighted the Spanish Minister of Justice.<\/p>\n

The clarification by the resigning attorney general of Spain, therefore, denies information circulated on some Angolan websites, according to which he had resigned from his position due to alleged criticism for having accepted a request from his Angolan counterpart to speed up the process involving the body of the former President of the Republic, Jos\u00e9 Eduardo dos Santos, in Barcelona.<\/p>\n
