Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Luanda – The President of Cape Verde, Jos\u00c3\u00a9 Maria Neves, left Luanda this Wednesday, after carrying out a three-day state visit, as part of the reinforcement of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n

At 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Cape Verdean statesman received farewell greetings from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tet\u00c3\u00a9 Ant\u00c3\u00b3nio.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the first day of the official visit, the president of the West African island nation, met, in private, with his Angolan counterpart, Jo\u00c3\u00a3o Louren\u00c3\u00a7o, and led the delegation of his country in official talks with Angola.<\/p>\n

On the same day, the Cape Verde\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Head of State visited the Ant\u00c3\u00b3nio Agostinho Neto Memorial, where he laid a wreath on the sarcophagus of the first President of Angola, whom he considered a heritage of humanity.<\/p>\n

Still on Monday, President Jos\u00c3\u00a9 Maria Neves addressed the National Assembly, in a solemn plenary session held in his honor.<\/p>\n

As part of the agenda for the official visit, Jos\u00c3\u00a9 Maria Neves learned on Tuesday about the functioning of the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP) and the National Historical Archive.<\/p>\n

The Cape Verdean Head of State began a three-day visit to Angola on Sunday, the first abroad visit since he took over as President of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00c3\u00a9 Maria das Neves was inaugurated as the fifth President of Cape Verde in November 2021, in the presence of dignitaries from several countries and five Heads of State, including the Angolan President, Jo\u00c3\u00a3o Louren\u00c3\u00a7o.<\/p>\n
