Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The president of CASA-CE, Manuel Fernandes, on Tuesday, in Malanje, asked the coalition’s militants and supporters to vote with honesty and conscience on August 24, as they will be electing the country’s future government.<\/b><\/p>\n

Manuel Fernandes guaranteed that, in case of victory, the coalition he leads will guarantee employment for young people and contribute this time to the country’s development.<\/p>\n

The politician was received around 10 am, at Largo Rainha Njinga Mbande, by around 4,000 militants, and then led a march that culminated in the Txauande market, one of the largest open-air shopping centers in the city of Malanje, where the political act took place.<\/p>\n

The candidate for President of the Republic considered that it was necessary to work to lift many Angolan families out of poverty, particularly in Malanje. Therefore, he appealed to the vote in CASA-CE that, in case of victory on the 24th of Agsoto, “will make a historic turning point” in the country.<\/p>\n

“When they are at the polls, they must pay the maximum attention and concentration to vote correctly, because it will be a unique opportunity to change the country’s leadership”, he urged.<\/p>\n

Makuta Nkondo, candidate for deputy for the Zaire provincial circle and who was part of the party caravan that worked yesterday in Malanje, highlighted that the province has arable land, so it can contribute to the country’s development, if its potential is used.<\/p>\n

According to Jo\u00e3o Nazar\u00e9, CASA-CE’s Secretary for Information and Marketing, the coalition elected, after Cuanza-Norte, the province of Malanje as the second destination of the presidential candidate’s campaign, during the days that preceded the “vote hunt “, to have been from the provinces that received Manuel Fernandes in a very friendly and warm way.<\/p>\n

In the last elections, held in 2017, CASA-CE was the third most voted political force in Malanje, winning 9.10% of the votes, behind the MPLA (76.46%) and UNITA (10.70%). but he failed to elect any deputy in the provincial circle. The five seats that the province is entitled to in Parliament were occupied by the MPLA.<\/p>\n

Coalition Promises To Fight Unemployment
\n<\/b>
\nIn case of victory in the general elections of 24 August, CASA-CE will direct a “systematic and sustained effort” to fight unemployment in the most affected segments and groups, such as young people, women, ex-military, unemployed long-term and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The coalition led by deputy Manuel Fernandes intends to reformulate the labor legislation, in order to make it more flexible for employers and more protective for employees and society in general. The promotion of employment and the fight against precariousness will be one of the axes of a possible governance of CASA-CE, according to the electoral manifesto.<\/p>\n

That political training, whose candidate for Head of State Manuel Fernandes and Deputy Alexandre Sebasti\u00e3o Andr\u00e9 as Vice-President of the Republic, also intends to abolish the requirement of years of work experience, for access to the first job, to guarantee high employability rate, especially for young graduates.<\/p>\n

In the Economic sector, CASA-CE undertakes to define the scope and limits of the State, in its intervention and regulatory role, in order to ensure the efficient functioning of free competition, provide public goods and promote social equity.<\/p>\n

It will also ensure greater independence of the National Bank of Angola (BNA) in the conduct of monetary and exchange rate policy, as well as in its functions as supervisor of the financial and banking system.<\/p>\n

It also promises to improve the conditions for payment of public debt through the reduction of debt in arrears and payment terms, thus preventing the State from being the precursor of corporate bankruptcy, keeping public debt at sustainable levels.<\/p>\n

Positive Geographic Discrimination
\n<\/b>
\nStill regarding the economy, CASA-CE intends to introduce, in the national public context, the principle of “positive geographical discrimination”, with placement of qualified human resources for disadvantaged provinces, through distance, isolation and risk subsidies.<\/p>\n

The coalition also promises to encourage the adoption, by private companies, of the same procedure, through fiscal, customs and financial incentives.<\/p>\n

From the perspective of CASA-CE, the consolidation of the country’s economic growth should be done through the construction of three highways that cross the country. The first would leave the province of Namibe, passing through the municipality of Soyo (province of Zaire) and arriving as far as Cabinda.<\/p>\n

The second motorway would start from Calai (Cuando Cubango province) and would extend to the province of Lunda-Norte. The last one would start in the province of Benguela and would end in Luau (province of Moxico).<\/p>\n

The three highways, adds the electoral manifesto, would be integrated with railways and branched off with national roads that would connect the other provinces. manufacturing and services, in order to satisfy domestic consumption and for the strength and competitiveness of the national economy in the global context.<\/p>\n
