Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The FNLA continues to carry out the “vote hunt” work in the municipalities and districts of Luanda and other provinces, with the improvement of the quality of public transport and the fishing sector being the main promises, if it wins the general elections on the 24th of this month.

After completing, last weekend, in U\u00edge, another stage of the electoral campaign, the party’s candidate for President of the Republic, Nimi a Simbi, returned yesterday to the country’s capital.<\/p>\n

Contrary to what was planned, the FNLA leader changed the trip initially scheduled for the 13th, Saturday, in Moxico province, to Huambo province.<\/p>\n

“The FNLA, somewhat in line with the other parties, is engaged in mobilizing militants, sympathizers and friends of the party in Huambo and intends to fill the space reserved for the political act that will serve for the presentation of the electoral manifesto”, he said, the party’s secretary general.<\/p>\n

According to Aguiar Laurindo, in Huambo, Nimi and Simbi will present the guidelines contained in the government’s program, in which a better distribution of the country’s wealth is ensured, as well as the export of fishery products.<\/p>\n

The politician justified the bet on fisheries, “because it is a sector of activity of great importance for the economic growth of the country”.<\/p>\n

The FNLA also promises to adopt measures for the rehabilitation of fish processing factories and to improve the Maritime Inspection and Surveillance system, within the scope of the activities of the Multi-Sector Operative group.<\/p>\n

The party reiterates the importance of promoting and stimulating artisanal and river fishing, as well as promoting the production of legumes.<\/p>\n

It also intends to pay special attention to aquaculture projects, within the scope of the program to combat poverty throughout the country.<\/p>\n

The FNLA’s governance program for the next five years also includes the creation of a program to better manage water resources and protect the environment, to avoid the deterioration of marine fauna.<\/p>\n

The party’s general secretary, Aguiar Laurindo, said that from the 2nd to the 21st of this month, several political acts are being held, with the engagement of those responsible for the electoral brigades and the first secretaries.<\/p>\n

Improve The Road Network<\/b><\/p>\n

In the Transport and Communications sector, the FNLA promises to improve the road network, as it considers that it is crucial in supporting the development of different regional markets, the flow of industrial production and the movement of populations.<\/p>\n

Rebuilding and modernizing, with international standards, national, secondary and tertiary roads are other priorities for the FNLA, if it wins the general elections on the 24th of this month.<\/p>\n

The electoral manifesto of the “Party of the Brothers” provides for a reduction in the tariff of urban public transport tickets and the revitalization of the country’s railways, in addition to prioritizing investments in the construction and recovery of bridges destroyed during the armed conflict in the country.<\/p>\n

Nimi a Simbi highlighted, last weekend, in U\u00edge, the importance of strengthening the Teaching and Learning System, since, without it, it is not possible to wait for staff capable of developing the country.<\/p>\n

He also expressed the intention to create a strong public security system, capable of guaranteeing the stability of the national territory.<\/p>\n

The president of the FNLA also promised, in the event of an electoral victory, more attention to improving the pension of former combatants, “who did their best to free Angola from the colonial yoke”.<\/p>\n

The FNLA will only implement these projects if it wins this month’s general elections.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Nimi a Simbi appealed, in the city of U\u00edge, to the party’s representatives in the province for more work and commitment in the mobilization of militants, sympathizers, friends and the population, to ensure the party’s victory, on the 24th of this month.<\/p>\n
