Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>US Secretary of State Antony Blinken highlighted, in Kinshasa, the role of Angola and Kenya in mediating the dispute between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

What we (USA) do daily is to ensure that the United States can support the international mediation managed by Kenya and Angola, bring back peace, security and stability\u201d, said Antony Blinken, quoted by the Congolese Press Agency.<\/p>\n

Antony Blinken arrived in Kinshasa at the head of a large delegation from his country, after a working visit to South Africa.<\/p>\n

According to the international press, the US Secretary of State’s visit to the African continent aims to strengthen the US-Africa dialogue, as well as seek to mitigate Russian influence on the continent.<\/p>\n

Cited by the Congolese Press Agency, the American diplomat called on the M23 and all other armed groups to “cease their violent activities, demilitarize and continue the efforts at normalization that are imperative”.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister of the DRC, Christophe Lutundula, indicated, in turn, that the US and Congolese delegations discussed issues of common interest.<\/p>\n

Engagement Of President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o<\/b><\/p>\n
