{"id":14030,"date":"2022-08-15T09:54:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T09:54:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/current-government-income-covers-expenses"},"modified":"2022-08-15T10:51:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T10:51:53","slug":"current-government-income-covers-expenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/current-government-income-covers-expenses","title":{"rendered":"Current government income covers expenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The current balance of the Government account, in the first quarter, recorded a surplus of around 1.395 billion kwanzas, demonstrating that current revenues were sufficient to cover current expenses for the period.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to the report on budget execution to which Jornal de Economia &amp; Finan\u00e7as had access, the revenue collected by the Government in the first quarter of 2022 was estimated at 3.178 billion kwanzas.<\/p>\n<p>In that period, expenditures amounting to 3.294 billion kwanzas were made, with a deficit of 115.846 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The revenue collected, in the period, presents an execution of about 17 percent, in relation to the annual revenue estimated in the OGE 2022 and current revenues were collected in the amount of 2.936 billion, corresponding to an execution of 25 percent and a participation on the total revenue of 92 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Capital revenue in the amount of 242.271 billion kwanzas corresponds to an execution of 3.0 percent of the forecast and a share of total revenue of 8.0 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Oil revenue, on the other hand, recorded a collection of 1.703 billion kwanzas, amounting to an execution of 28 percent of what was foreseen in the OGE, and a participation of 54 percent of the total revenue for the quarter, while the Financing Revenue recorded values \u200b\u200bin the order of 239,350 thousand millions.<\/p>\n<p>The data show, on the other hand, that on March 31, 2022, the stock of government debt stood at 30.212 billion kwanzas, equivalent to 68.642 billion dollars, comprising 32 percent of domestic debt and 68 percent of percent of external debt.<\/p>\n<p>The debt of public companies, namely Sonangol and TAAG, amounted to 1.893 billion kwanzas, equivalent to 4.301 billion dollars.
