Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan market is open to the possible entry of a group of Polish businessmen, who are currently in the country evaluating the potential and areas for investment in Agriculture, Metalworking and Technological Innovation, according to guarantees given yesterday in Luanda. , by the Minister of Industry and Commerce.<\/b><\/p>\n

V\u00edctor Fernandes discussed these guarantees in the meeting he had with the delegation made up of Polish and Ukrainian businessmen, representatives of five companies based in those two Eastern European countries.<\/p>\n

These companies came to express their desire to work in Angola, as a result of the dissemination of the potential that the country offers made at the recent International Business Forum for Attracting Investors, held by the Embassy of Angola in Poland in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce ( MINDCOM), from the 27th of June to the 12th of July.<\/p>\n

“We address issues of an investment nature, as this group of Polish investors expressed an interest in investing in our country, in the agro-industry sector, having made contacts through an Angolan delegation that visited Poland for 15 days to identify intention and come to see the potential on the ground”, he said.<\/p>\n

The minister stressed that, after prior contact, the businessmen will maintain contact with other authorities in our country, namely the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), at a time that was, at the meeting, the intention to invest in the Metalworking sector, associated with Agricultural production and to invest in the primary production of agricultural products.<\/p>\n

“We did a review of the investment conditions in our country. We said that we are totally open to initiatives by investors who find in our country a preferred destination for their investments and they were very satisfied. Now, it remains to be put into practice what their intentions are and we are waiting for this to materialize and we can attract these investors to the respective areas”, he assumed.<\/p>\n

Minister V\u00edctor Fernandes also underlined that Angola is a country seeking to achieve a true market economy, in which the most important actors are businessmen, hence it is expected that they will be able to form important partnerships with other Angolan businessmen.<\/p>\n

As he reiterated, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce will only be responsible for approving the partnerships.<\/p>\n

In the investment portfolio of Polish businessmen who are in Angola, emphasis is given to the installation of a factory for the production of 100% natural juices, the construction of a photovoltaic power plant, assembly of cylinders\/warehouse for oils and corn, marketing of second-hand vehicles (two to three years).<\/p>\n

Also noteworthy is the construction of a manufacturing unit for fire-fighting products, sale of fire extinguishers, sale of water filtration and desalination systems, assembly of packaging lines for food products.<\/p>\n

Poland and Ukraine are two countries with a strategic role of great relevance in the international markets of agro-industrial products, standing out in the export of wheat, cereals, coal, zinc, as well as metals and machinery to support the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n
