Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A total of 205 graduate students, in various health courses, in Cuba, arrived this Sunday in Luanda, after six years of training.<\/b><\/p>\n

Of the finalists, 187 were trained in General Medicine and 18 in Health Sciences, with emphasis on clinical bioanalysis, nursing, stomatology, nutrition, optics and optometry.<\/p>\n

At the reception of the grantees, the Minister of State for the Social Area, Carolina Cerqueira, considered positive the results achieved in the areas of Health, Education and Higher Education in the country.<\/p>\n

The number of health technicians trained in Cuba since 2017, totaling 777 staff, is, for Carolina Cerqueira, an indicator of the Executive’s commitment to improving care in the national health system.<\/p>\n

The official also highlighted the commitment made by the Executive to the construction of several hospitals and specialized education institutions, within the framework of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and other programmes.<\/p>\n

“Human potential must accompany the country’s growth, hence the Executive’s commitment to training specialists in the area of \u200b\u200bHealth and other important sectors for national development”, he said.<\/p>\n

In the act, the Minister of Higher Education, Maria do Ros\u00e1rio Bragan\u00e7a Sambo, highlighted the importance of training staff and encouraged the other Angolan students to undergo training in Cuba, based on the cooperation agreement between the two countries to commit themselves more in the learning of specialty courses. “There are students who will finish their training in 2023,” she said.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Health, S\u00edlvia Lutucuta, who also received the students, highlighted the Angolan Executive’s commitment to training staff, with emphasis on the areas of Health. The holder of the Health portfolio explained that the administrative conditions are created for the newly graduated to be included in the various health units in the country, from the primary network, to Health Centers and municipal hospitals.<\/p>\n

S\u00edlvia Lutucuta also added that the Executive has made a strong commitment to specialized training. More than 40,000 Angolans, she added, have been trained since 1980 in various specialties in Cuba.<\/p>\n
