Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The FNLA chose the space where, until very recently, the Estalagem market operated, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, as the stage for the closing act of its electoral campaign, scheduled for today.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the act, the party’s candidate for President of the Republic, Nimi a Simbi, should present the last arguments to try to convince voters, who on Wednesday will exercise their right to citizenship, by casting their vote in number 4 of the bulletin.<\/p>\n

During the electoral campaign, the FNLA promised, among other things, to solve social problems, to make a big bet on the agriculture sector, with emphasis on the large-scale production of cereals, promotion of industry, change in the operating philosophy of the institutions of the country and the granting of a survivor’s and unemployment benefit.<\/p>\n

Today, at the Estalagem, Nimi a Simbi has the last opportunity to clarify more about her party’s government program, because tomorrow, the eve of the elections, voters will be thinking about choosing the party and candidate the next day of the Republic that most convinced them.<\/p>\n

According to the program, the FNLA candidate’s rally, scheduled for 10:30 am, is preceded by a march, which leaves, an hour earlier, from the Coelho Retention Basin area.<\/p>\n

At the Estalagem, the director of the FNLA campaign, Ndonda Nzinga, makes brief remarks about the “vote hunt” process. Messages from previous party presidents, namely Ngola Kabangu and Lucas Ngonda, are also planned, a sign that the party now led by Nimi a Simbi has put aside internal differences and consolidates the unity of the then estranged wings.<\/p>\n

Founded by Holden Roberto, the FNLA is one of the three liberation movements in the country, along with the MPLA and UNITA. In the first elections in Angola, the party elected five deputies. In the 2008 legislative elections, three were elected; in the general ones of 2012 two; and in 2017, only one, largely due to the division in the party.<\/p>\n
