Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The collective exhibition of plastic arts “Arte Supera\u00e7\u00e3o” positively surprises the protagonists, namely Vopsi Moma, Y\u00e1kala, Polas and Eliana, who took stock of the exhibition that can still be visited until Friday, at the Tamar Golan gallery, of Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Arte and culture.<\/b><\/p>\n

The exhibition “Arte Supera\u00e7\u00e3o” is an artistic project where people with physical disabilities exhibit works of drawing and painting, in a demonstration of how they have mitigated the challenges in which they are exposed to society through art (visual arts).<\/p>\n

Eliana Caley and Polas still do not have the arts as their main activity, reconciling with higher education in Economics and Architecture. Vopsi Moma and Y\u00e1kala unlike partners are centered on the artistic medium.<\/p>\n

Eliana, the only woman, on balance, considered it positive because the project achieved its objective, which is to show people that they can do extraordinary things and rescue the self-esteem of people with disabilities. Polas said that “Arte Supera\u00e7\u00e3o” was a great opportunity for her artistic career and allowed her to leave her comfort zone.<\/p>\n

With limitations and physical mobility difficulties, Vopsi Moma, one of the most renowned and responsible for the participations of Eliana and Polas, explained that “they are still not well inserted in the world of art, but they like it and practice it as a hobby, unlike me and the Y\u00e1kala. We gave them the opportunity to be part of the project because they are people who go through the same situations as us and this made them gain more motivation in the artistic field\u201d.<\/p>\n

Y\u00e1kala, who was the mentor of the project, embraced by the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Arte e Cultura, explained how it all started. “In 2021, I was in college, without enough money to return because the only value I had forced me to spend the night at school and the next day to attend class”.<\/p>\n

The artist said that despite the disability, he noticed that he was a happy and cheerful person and that’s how the idea matured that resulted in “Arte Overcoming”.<\/p>\n

“Arte Supera\u00e7\u00e3o” is an artistic project that brings together artists with disabilities and who have somehow faced prejudice and discrimination. In this first edition, plastic artists present their works inspired by the most varied subjects. The objective is to encourage social inclusion and to make known the power that art has over people’s minds To show self-esteem despite their physical deficiencies.<\/p>\n
