Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The holding of the fifth Angolan General Elections has now entered the countdown phase. The voting process, through which voters will have the opportunity to choose the country’s leadership for the next five years, starts tomorrow, throughout the national territory.<\/b><\/p>\n

The electoral campaign, the moment in which the competing political forces seek to convince the voting citizens, with the presentation of governance programs, ended yesterday, with today being reserved for reflection.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the press carried out a tour of the various locations where the polling stations will operate, to see the atmosphere lived in these places and the result points to a recommendable degree of readiness for an event that will take place in the next few hours.<\/p>\n

From the municipality of Luanda, passing through Cacuaco, Cazenga, Kilamba Kiaxi and Belas, the presence of Public Order agents in these places was notorious, as a sign of guaranteeing the guarantee of the election, considered by many analysts as the most intense in the country’s history.<\/p>\n

At Marco Hist\u00f3rico, in Cazenga, the members of the polling stations and polling stations, posted there, worked out the last details of the work they will carry out tomorrow.<\/p>\n

One of the points analyzed by the group, formed by men and women, was how they should deal with the most varied voters who will attend assemblies 345 and 346, installed there.<\/p>\n

One of the main objectives of the meeting, they said, was to refresh the working methods learned during the training given by the National Electoral Commission (CNE), especially those whose function is to prevent any situation that interferes with the normal functioning of the process.<\/p>\n

“It’s just a brief conversation about how we should act on election day”, assured one of them, remembering that they received the necessary tools from the CNE to deal with all kinds of unforeseen events.<\/p>\n

Here, attention was drawn to the fact that the members of these polling stations did not agree to provide any information to the press because the reporter was not using the credential issued by the CNE to cover the event.<\/p>\n

“We are not authorized to make statements, to anyone, if they are not using the credential issued by the CNE”, he explained. The latter only agreed to initiate a brief dialogue with the reporter after making use of the aforementioned document.<\/p>\n

Further along, at School n\u00ba 3049, where an assembly is also installed, in this case n\u00ba 422, the delivery of credentials to members of the polling stations and polling stations who will work in the municipality of Cazenga was finalized.<\/p>\n

The process started on Saturday and, by the time the news team arrived at the site, more than 97 percent of the credentials had already been handed over.<\/p>\n

Nsimba Masueme, one of those who received the document yesterday, said she couldn’t wait to get to work. “I’m very anxious”, revealed the citizen, who will work as a desk secretary in the municipality of Cazenga.<\/p>\n

On the streets, nothing that pointed to some abnormal reality. Citizens circulated, at will, from one side to the other, as they do on other days.<\/p>\n

The definitive mapping for tomorrow’s general elections shows that, on polling day, 13,238 polling stations will operate, consisting of 26,488 polling stations.<\/p>\n

According to the document on this matter, approved by the Plenary of the National Electoral Commission, 26 polling stations are set up abroad, corresponding to 45 polling stations, installed in 12 countries and 25 cities.<\/p>\n

These elections will be attended by a total of more than 14 million voters and will be contested by eight political formations, namely the MPLA, UNITA, CASA-CE, FNLA, PRS, APN, P-NJANGO and PHA.<\/p>\n
