Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Electoral Commission (CNE) approved, this Monday, the Audit Report on the Technological Solution for the General Elections and on the Computer File of Senior Citizens (FICM), which highlights the qualities of the two instruments and confirms that they are in perfect condition and in harmony with all principles governing the organization of data management.<\/b><\/p>\n

CNE spokesperson Lucas Quilundo, who, in statements to the press at the end of the extraordinary plenary meeting, maintained that the company Intlera, under Italian law, assigned the classification “good” to the two instruments that served as the basis for the elaboration of the electoral roll. He added that, in due course, the conclusions of the documents will be published.<\/p>\n

Lucas Quilundo said that the CNE launched a national and international tender, with Intellera being selected as the company responsible for auditing the technological process of the General Elections and the FICM. The Report will be released with limitations, in observance of caution, taking into account the confidentiality of the content, as data of citizens is concerned.<\/p>\n

Under the Data Protection Law, there is information that must not be disclosed without the consent of the citizens themselves. The spokesperson clarified that the audit of the Computer File did not aim to exclude elements contained in the database, but rather to assess their compliance with the principles that govern the performance of any audit process of this type of tool.<\/p>\n

Lucas Quilundo assured that the audit was carried out under the terms and deadlines legally established. He reaffirmed that all CNE action is based on strict compliance with current legislation, “that is why it was carried out, and today it was possible, as promised, that the CNE, in due course, would make the public announcement about the Report of the Audit”, he stressed.<\/p>\n

The CNE also approved an instruction on local bodies, to provide conditions regarding the prevention of Covid-19, at polling stations. The intention, he said, is to facilitate voters’ access to the polls, so as not to put them in the way of circumstance, resulting, for example, from the lack of a mask.<\/p>\n
