It was a day of celebration and introspection for many, but Angolans chose their representatives for the next five years. The MPLA won, but those who win the most are the Angolans, the true owners of the party of democracy that gained more dynamics this year with the entry of new figures into the political scene. The MPLA won, with 51.17 percent, resulting from 3,209,429 votes, with 124 deputies, followed by UNITA, with 43.95 percent, as a result of 2,756,786 votes, with 90 deputies elected.
