Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) yesterday warned political parties to “assume their responsibilities” with list delegates, who demand the payment of subsidies, and urged the complainants to resort to legal mechanisms.<\/b><\/p>\n

The PGR said it was aware of the successive manifestations of discontent, accompanied by acts of vandalism by citizens who served as delegates on the list of polling stations, assigned to some parties.<\/p>\n

According to the PGR, some disgruntled citizens have lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Service and the Public Prosecutor’s Office and “investigative files have been opened to investigate the nature and responsibility of the acts carried out by the various actors”.<\/p>\n

Considering the dimension and “the negative impact on public order” of the behavior, the PGR “warns the protesters that they must use the legal mechanisms available to claim their legitimate rights”.<\/p>\n

Delegates on the list, mainly from the APN, FNLA, PRS and CASA-CE, demand payment of their allowances after working in the General Elections of 24 August.<\/p>\n

The protests are mainly registered in Luanda, where this Wednesday the national headquarters of CASA-CE, in Luanda, was vandalized by the list delegates demanding the payment of their subsidies.<\/p>\n
