The president of the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE), Afonso Ngongo, in statements to the press, stressed that the plenary, with municipal approaches, validated the activities without registering the receipt of any complaint from the political forces competing for the elections or from citizens, individually .<\/p>\n<p>According to the Organic Law on General Elections, after the final results have been released, representatives or competing political forces have up to 72 hours to submit complaints to the provincial electoral commissions regarding the provincial tabulation.<\/p>\n<p>Afonso Ngongo, who made the statements at the end of the extraordinary plenary meeting that addressed, among other issues, that related to the complaints of competing political forces, said that of the 2,055 polling stations mapped to the province of Luanda, all were opened on the 24th, and the management of the electoral act was a success, &#8220;because all the polling stations worked and we thus guarantee the right of every citizen to freely exercise their choice&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><b>CPE Huambo<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) in Huambo did not register any complaints, either from competing political parties or from individual citizens. The representatives of the competing forces also did not present any request regarding the publication of the definitive results of the General Elections of August 24th.<\/p>\n<p>The information was released yesterday, in Huambo, by the spokeswoman of the Provincial Electoral Commission, Frutuosa de Jesus Cassinda, during the 18th Extraordinary Session of the Plenary, which was attended by 16 provincial electoral commissioners.<\/p>\n<p>The plenary, which took place at the commission&#8217;s headquarters, analyzed the fulfillment of the tasks legally assigned to CPE-Huambo, within the scope of the electoral process and the reading of the appreciation and approval of the corresponding summary minutes. The official made it known that the plenary welcomed the information according to which no complaints had been registered by any representative of political parties and coalitions about the report of appreciation of the ballots claimed in the polling stations of the General Elections of 24 August .<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The process was accompanied by national and foreign observers who sent reports, according to which the elections were peaceful and transparent,&#8221; said the spokeswoman for the CPE in Huambo, Frutuosa de Jesus Cassinda.<\/p>\n<p><b>Lunda-Sul without incidents<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The president of the Provincial Electoral Commission in Lunda-Sul, Justino Africano, declared in the city of Saurimo that the elections of 24 August took place without incident, noting that the transport of the ballot boxes containing the ballot papers and minutes were escorted by the presidents of the polling stations.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press, at the end of the plenary session that evaluated the electoral process in the region, Justino Africano informed that after the announcement of the final results of the elections by the National Electoral Commission (CNE), the PRS was the only political formation in Lunda-Sul that requested the local verification of votes cast, having immediately been advised to formalize the request for verification with the competent structure in Luanda.<\/p>\n<p><b>Occasional cases in Hu\u00edla<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The CPE in Hu\u00edla province yesterday closed the deadline for complaints regarding the process of counting and definitive disclosure of votes at the CNE level, warning that any concerns from competing parties must henceforth be submitted to the Constitutional Court in Luanda.<\/p>\n<p>Adelina In\u00e1cio | Luanda Justino Victorino | Huambo Ad\u00e3o Diogo | Saurimo Estanislau Costa | Huila<\/p>\n<p><b>Election in Zaire was exemplary<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson for the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) of the province of Zaire confirmed yesterday to the press in Mbanza Kongo that nine days after the election took place on 24 August last, no political formation competing with the General Elections filed a public complaint or complaint.<\/p>\n<p>To journalists, at the end of the plenary session that reflected on the electoral process in the province of Zaire, Zola Vitorino said that after verifying the summary minutes of the polling stations, no delegate from a political party or coalition of parties contested the result of the election.<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that 391 votes were claimed in Zaire, of which 271 were validated and 120 annulled, stressing that the analysis of the minutes was witnessed by representatives of all competing political parties.<\/p>\n<p><b>Garcia Mayatoko | Mbanza Kongo U\u00edge without contestation of results<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The CPE in U\u00edge, like most provinces in the country, also did not register any complaints from competitors in the election held on 24 August, according to the spokesman for the electoral institution, Silva Baptista.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press, Silva Baptista said that the electoral process in U\u00edge province went smoothly, and that so far no competing political party has complained about the final results released by the CNE.<\/p>\n<p>Silva Baptista praised the orderly and civic manner shown by competing political forces, including voters, during the voting process.
