Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Health, S\u00edlvia Lutucuta, expressed her satisfaction with the commitment of the professionals at the General Hospital of Huambo, in the care of patients, despite the lack of human resources.<\/b><\/p>\n

“Although we faced some difficulties, we are pleased that the General Hospital of Huambo has the capacity to conserve and distribute oxygen, which allows it to care for patients not only in the provincial capital but also in other municipalities”, said the Minister of Health, who, for two days, visited several health units in the Planalto Central, to learn about their operation.<\/p>\n

According to S\u00edlvia Lutucuta, the cleaning, hygiene and basic sanitation services in the largest health unit in the province recorded significant improvements, which has also contributed to the non-emergence of opportunistic diseases.<\/p>\n

He recognized, however, the lack of human resources, such as neurosurgeons, and modern equipment. “The Ministry of Health has identified all the difficulties and will work to mitigate them in the near future.”<\/p>\n

Humanization of services<\/b><\/p>\n

The humanization of services in hospitals and health centers is a priority for the Executive, according to Minister S\u00edlvia Lutucuta.<\/p>\n

He defended good practices in patient care, in order to achieve the goals of the World Development Program, which aims, among other things, to improve health services. The provincial director of Health, Lucas Nhamba, reiterated that good practices in hospitals provide quality care and patient satisfaction, recalling that the lack of hospital humanization is still a problem in many health units. “No technology or device replaces the human care that patients and families need.”<\/p>\n
