Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o on his re-election to the post for another five-year term.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the letter addressed to Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, the Russian President underlines that his re-election to the post of President of the Republic responds, “without a doubt”, to the root interests of the two peoples and continues to strengthen security and stability on the African continent. .<\/p>\n

“With all my soul, I wish you success and good health and well-being”, writes Vladimir Putin. The Russian President hopes that this new phase will continue to contribute to the development of constructive bilateral cooperation in several areas, remembering that Russian-Angolan relations are based on ancient traditions of friendship and mutual respect.<\/p>\n

This is the second time that Russia has congratulated President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o on his victory in the General Election on 24 August. The first gesture was made by the vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.<\/p>\n

In his congratulatory message, Dmitry Medvedev, who has already held the positions of Prime Minister and President of Russia, said he had no doubt that the political experience and high professionalism of President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o will contribute to the effective socio-economic development of the Angolan State. .<\/p>\n

Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o also received congratulations from the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, who wished Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o and the Angolan people much success in this new phase.<\/p>\n
