Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Constitutional Court (TC) on Wednesday dismissed the appeal presented by the CASA-CE coalition regarding the final results of the General Elections of August 24, and maintained that the vote in the coalition was insufficient to elect a deputy.<\/b><\/p>\n

The appeal was considered in the plenary of judges and rejected by nine of the 11 judges.<\/p>\n

CASA-CE lost the 16 seats it held in the National Assembly, according to the final results of the elections determined by the National Electoral Commission (CNE).<\/p>\n

The CNE released the final tabulation minutes of the General Elections of 24 August, which proclaimed the MPLA and its candidate, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, as winners with 51.17% of the votes, followed by UNITA with 43.95%.<\/p>\n

With these results, the MPLA elected 124 deputies and UNITA 90 deputies.<\/p>\n
