Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Three ecclesiastical entities and members of civil society, in the province of Malanje, are eagerly awaiting the investiture, today, of Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o as President of the Republic, re-elected in the election of 24 August.<\/b><\/p>\n

Father Pedro Lu\u00eds, from the Church of the Sagrado Cora\u00e7\u00e3o de Jesus, in the city of Malanje, considered that, despite objections from opposition parties, the investiture is legitimate and is within the law in force in the country.<\/p>\n

He said that he has great expectations, like the people, at a time when he hopes that there will be a change from the point of view of the country’s sustainable development. He appealed to the population for the need to cooperate with the rulers.<\/p>\n

“At this moment, I hope that politicians, in particular the winning party led by Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, do not limit themselves to promises so that the country can know better days”, said the prelate.<\/p>\n

According to the priest, it is important to review the situation of the means of communication, particularly in Malanje, and specifically in the municipalities of Marimba, Quela, Cahombo.<\/p>\n

“Because it is a right of concern, then the citizen has this legitimacy to demand from their rulers that attention is really given so that things take another course”, he said.<\/p>\n

Congratulations<\/b><\/p>\n

The director of the School of the College of the Central Church of the Seventh-day Adventists, in Malanje, Edson Bengui, congratulated Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, for the fact that the investiture act is a great responsibility and for the second time he can be invested as President of the Republic of Angola, and expects it to comply with the Government’s program and to respond to the concerns of the population.<\/p>\n

“As religious, we understand that there is no one who sits on a throne without God wanting it. However, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o’s position as President of the Republic is a belief in the will of God”, he said, auguring that attention should also be given to the concern of the religious in the province.<\/p>\n

Edson Bengui recognized that religious freedom and other benefits that churches have are a result of governance. He reiterated that in this second term, in addition to the intense fight against corruption, the re-elected President must focus on improving living conditions, as people continue to suffer and hope for a brighter future.<\/p>\n

He underlined that something is being done in the social field, with the construction of schools, health units, referring that it is necessary to have a little more patience, as there are still many children out of education and looking for schools, whose vacancies are limited.<\/p>\n

This fact, he added, is due to the demographic growth rate not corresponding with population growth, but he believes that this problem will be solved in this mandate. He said that it is important to ensure the quality of teaching, more teaching equipment, such as books, maps of different subjects, among other means, to facilitate the teaching and learning process.<\/p>\n
